About Philip Thompson Photography
Philip Thompson began photographing seriously seven years ago, concentrating on candid photography, primarily in Sydney, Australia, but also other cities and rural towns. After volunteering with the BlazeAid organization he began to document the aftermath of a devastating bush fire (Sir Ivan Dougherty Drive Fire - 2017). His emotional and heartfelt connection to the plight of rural farmers, some of whom lost everything, has led him to continue volunteering with BlazeAid as well as further documenting the aftermath of natural disasters, in New South Wales, Australia. He will further his passion for social documentary focusing on the aftermath of natural disasters in other parts of Australia and the world.
Philip has exhibited in Sydney, Australia and Minneapolis, MN, USA. He is currently continuing the Aftermath series, as well as his candid photography.
